Resale shop helps feed
the hungry and the needy

You don't have to shop the big box stores for holiday decor. Gently used items are available for purchase at the St. Vincent de Paul resale shop at Toledo Square, 17753 Unit C - Toledo Blade Blvd. The store is open 9 a.m to 4 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. For more information, call 941-764-8807.

The new St. Vincent de Paul resale shop that opened on Sept. 15 has a main goal in mind, and that is to feed the hungry and needy people in the area with proceeds from the shop.

This has been a special project of Clara and Richard Peters as well as many others who have been involved with taking care of the needy in the area with the Society of St. Vincent de Paul in the parish of St. Maximilian Kolbe Conference in Port Charlotte. They envisioned opening up the first St. Vincent de Paul resale shop in Charlotte County — and they did — with help from many people.
