SARASOTA COUNTY — Sarasota County School Board Chairwoman Caroline Zucker joined superintendent Lori White and Chief Operating Officer Scott Lempe Thursday evening in an hourlong telephone town hall meeting, answering questions posed by 20 callers for the benefit of 4,368 listeners.

Scott Ferguson, school district spokesman, said the event was set up by Telephone Town Hall, the company that performed a similar service this year for the North Port City Commission.
