SARASOTA COUNTY — On Tuesday, the Sarasota County School Board will decide the fate of three proposed charter schools.

The three schools on the table — The Classical Academy of Sarasota, Sarasota Academy of the Arts, and Starfish Academy — all have been reviewed twice by the district’s Charter Review Committee, and met once with the board during a September workshop to hear board members’ feedback. Following that meeting, hopeful schools could correct or clarify any points and then resubmit their applications for a final score.
