ARCADIA — Arcadia City Council learned the details Tuesday of the new public transportation system that will soon be serving the city and Nocatee.

The DeSoto-Arcadia Regional Transit will begin running routes through the city on Nov. 14, DeSoto County Social Services Director Peggy Waters said. The service will operate Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday service is from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will include a Nocatee route.
