Four charged in burglary
PORT CHARLOTTE — Charlotte County Sheriff’s detectives arrested four convicted felons involved in a burglary to an occupied Port Charlotte home that occurred Saturday night. Arrested was Garomy Keron aka “George” Golloman, 21, of the 900 block of S.W. Spring Avenue, Arcadia; James Allen Richardson, 44, homeless; Terrence Lamount Jones, 43, of Miami Gardens, Fla.; and Daniel Coleman Jr., 48, of Opa Locka, Fla. CCSO received a call at 11:12 p.m. Saturday to a home in the 21000 block of Delake Avenue from a woman who said she was watching television when someone suddenly pushed her front door open. She rushed toward the door and a subject immediately fled. Deputies arrived and also talked to a neighbor, who said he saw a man with dreadlocks running down Delake Avenue toward Dorchester Street. While deputies were outside the complainant’s home, they heard an engine revving and saw a 1995 white Oldsmobile with no headlights on speeding toward them. The driver turned on his headlights as the vehicle approached and deputies stopped the car. Deputies noticed the four men inside were all sweaty and covered with dirt and sawdust type material on them. The driver, Golloman, matched the description given of the suspect involved in the home burglary.
All four men stepped out of the car and were searched. Each gave a different story why he was in the area and where he was going. Deputies searched the area and located a pair of gloves in the middle of the road by the victim’s home and also another set of gloves in a swale a few houses down from where the other pair were found. Nearby, deputies located a van with the ignition punched and several large items inside that may have been stolen. Detectives continue their investigation into van case and have not released any further details at this time. All four were transported to the Charlotte County Jail, where they remain on no bond. Each at this time is charged with felony occupied burglary. Golloman was also charged with violation of probation.
