NORTH PORT — Hundreds of bicycle riders took to city streets Sunday for the annual Tour de North Port. The event was a fundraiser to benefit People for Trees’ efforts to create a kid-friendly environmental discovery center in the treetops, “TreeWiz.” Riders could choose from a 15-, 35-, 65- or 100-mile course through the city.
