With the withdrawal of write-in candidate Sonia Waters from the Charlotte County Property Appraiser’s race, Republican candidate and current Deputy Property Appraiser Paul Polk won the seat unopposed.

According to the Supervisor of Elections Office, Waters withdrew from the contest Oct. 11. Waters could not be reached for comment Monday.
