CCSO seeks public’s help in armed robbery probe
PORT CHARLOTTE — Charlotte County Sheriff’s Major Crimes Unit detectives are asking the public for information about an armed robber and a white pickup possibly involved in a Monday morning armed robbery in Port Charlotte. The robber then left on foot toward the rear of the building. Deputies, detectives, K-9 and the CCSO helicopter responded but were unable to locate the subject.
The owner described the robber as a white male, 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-7 tall, about 130 pounds, wearing a gray skull cap with cut eye holes, green Army camouflage pants, and a long-sleeve gray shirt. Just before the robber entered the store, a full-size white pickup exited from between the buildings.
