After operating for six years out of a cramped Venice storefront, the Chabad Jewish Center of Venice and North Port has purchased 4.25 acres of land on a major Venice thoroughfare and plans to build a 10,000-square-foot education center.
Plans for the site at 1681 Jacaranda Blvd., between Center Road and U.S. 41, include a state-of-the-art facility that will house a synagogue, a social hall, a youth wing with classrooms, a multimedia children’s library, a commercial kitchen and administrative offices.
