ROTONDA — A popular Christmas tradition that puts food on the tables of the area’s neediest families may not be much help if more people don’t start getting into the holiday spirit.

For years, the Rotonda West Christmas Parade has brought neighbors together and collected donations of food and cash for Englewood Helping Hand, a local charitable organization that provides, among other services, food and clothing for the needy.
