Turkey Trot gives runners an excuse to feast

An estimated 700 runners and walkers alike participated in Charlotte County Habitat for Humanity's 14th annual Turkey Trot, a 5K walk/run held early Thanksgiving Day at Edison State College Charlotte Campus in Punta Gorda. William St. Onge, dressed as Tom Turkey, gets ready to lead the runners at the start of the race. St. Onge and his family have been involved in the Turkey Trot for the last five years.
