PUNTA GORDA — Charlotte County Sheriff’s Narcotics detectives arrested a Punta Gorda man following three undercover drug buys. Arrested at his home was James Lee Dabney, 34, of the 500 block of Burland Street. Detectives purchased Vicodin pills from Dabney on Aug. 8 and again on Aug. 18. On Oct. 29, Dabney sold them hydrocodone pills. Narcotics detectives said Dabney is a known street-level narcotics dealer. Dabney is charged with two counts of sale and delivery of Vicodin, two counts of possession of Vicodin, and one count each for sale and delivery of hydrocodone and possession of hydrocodone. He remains in jail on no bond due to his extensive criminal record.
