PUNTA GORDA — Freshman Cam Boland made her only two points of the game count, sinking a short-range jumper off the glass with 3.7 seconds remaining in double-overtime to give Fort Myers High School a 48-47 victory against Charlotte on Thursday in nonconference play.
“Our plan wasn’t to do that, but she had a good look,” Fort Myers coach Ron Riis said. “We were looking to get it into the post but not in that position, but she had a look and took it.”
