Man lets hair grow to help kids

PORT CHARLOTTE — If local man Ken Hardegree has learned anything in his 73 years, it’s that he who gives to others gets the best blessing.
Hardegree illustrated that Saturday, when he directed his barber at Pop’s Barbershop, 3642-B Tamiami Trail, to lop off his 10-inch ponytail.
