SARASOTA COUNTY — The Gulf Coast Community Foundation is accepting applications for its 2013-14 scholarships for students wishing to pursue higher education who are residents of Sarasota and Charlotte counties, or Boca Grande.

“Since 1997, Gulf
Coast has been awarding
scholarships to local students — and we’ve seen many success stories over the years,” Greg Luberecki, the foundation’s director of marketing and communications, said Wednesday. “Opening the door to education through scholarships has been a priority of both the foundation board and many of our donors since that time.”
