NORTH PORT — Some Sarasota County commissioners say that after watching three North Port City Commission meetings, they are still confused and unclear about the local board’s 3-2 vote to sell Warm Mineral Springs Day Spa in its entirety.

It’s a move North Port Mayor Linda Yates said she made to get the county to come back to the table for a joint meeting to discuss multiple issues, including a short-term agreement for the 81-acre spa jointly owned by the city and the county. The current contract with Springs operator Cypress Lending of Naples ends June 30. No proposals have been discussed by either board, but both must agree before it is passed prior to the deadline.
