Real golfers wear kilts

People donned their kilts Saturday for the annual Laird’s Golf Challenge, held at the Sunnybreeze Golf Course in Arcadia, to raise money to benefit the Punta Gorda Chamber of Commerce. Here, nineteen four-person teams await the start of the golf scramble.

Mary Cassady, Teresa Jenkins, Christi van Heek and Jeanne Johnston, who made up one of the few ladies teams in the scramble, stated they “may not hit the ball very well, but will definitely have fun.”
