A Port Charlotte man was killed and several people were injured — two critically — in a pair of serious crashes over the last few days.

Gerald Edward Tindall, 33, of Port Charlotte, was fatally injured in a three-car wreck on River Road near Venice on Tuesday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Brittany Nicole Thomas, 20, also of Port Charlotte, who was driving a second vehicle, was critically injured in the crash and flown to Blake Medical Center.
