An 82-year-old motorcyclist was killed on Veterans Boulevard Saturday after colliding with a SUV.
PORT CHARLOTTE — An 82-year-old man was killed while riding his motorcycle on Saturday afternoon, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Elmer Morra, of Oakdale, Pa., died after his 2011 Kawasaki Versys collided with a Dodge Caliber driven by Reigan Berndt, 19, of Punta Gorda, around 3 p.m., according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Berndt was stopped at Norman Street, then he turned onto Veterans Boulevard and failed to see Morra approaching, the report stated.
