“ I love missions,” exclaimed Lauretta Smith of Port Charlotte. She was one of the group from the Port Charlotte Adventist church who gave 10 days of service to a poverty-stricken area of Salinas, Ecuador, in July.
Salinas is the Western-most point of Ecuador and boasts of its world-class surfing beach. The rocky coast and huge waves of the Pacific Ocean were a huge contrast to the team that was used to the beaches of Charlotte County.
