The Fabric of Our Faith: Hearts for harvest
Recently at breakfast, my wife handed me a slice of toast spread generously with her favorite strawberry-rhubarb preserves. As I savored the taste, I thought of Carol and Fred Blair, winter snowbirds at Trinity United Methodist Church in Arcadia. Dear friends from Tippecanoe, Ohio, we had visited them in August 2009 en route to my family reunion.
During our stay in their home, we got a personal tour of Amish country. The strawberry-rhubarb jam was just one of several Amish flavored preserves the Blairs purchased as souvenirs during our stay.
