Military Heritage Museum luncheon packs them in

The server who collected the most tips/donations at the Military Heritage Museum's luncheon fundraiser Thursday was Teri Ashley of Centennial Bank, left, pictured with Kim Lovejoy, the museum's executive director. Congratulations to the Military Heritage Museum, its board of directors, and its executive director, Kim Lovejoy. The Punta Gorda nonprofit held a fundraising luncheon Thursday, with Lovejoy cooking up delicious spaghetti and meat sauce, and packed Punta Gorda Elks Lodge 2606.

Lovejoy said 147 hungry people showed up to be served by celebrity waiters: County Commissioner Stephen R. Deutsch; Ed Hill, Integrity Employee Leasing; Eddie Webb, Webb, Lorah & Co.; Anne Jameson, from the Punta Gorda Elks; Judy Malbuisson, Arts & Humanities Council of Charlotte County executive director; Teri Ashley, Centennial Bank ; Bob “Fig” Newton, Coldwell Banker Morris Realty; Frank Bell, Owen-Ames-Kimball Co.; Terri Williams, Calusa National Bank; Linda Lusk, the Center for Abuse and Rape Emergencies; Sandy O’Grady, Suncoast One Title; Commission Chairman Chris Constance; Kathy Grey, Florida Weekly; and Chris Porter, executive editor of the Charlotte Sun .
