The Fabric of Our Faith: Surviving the storm, part 1
Two weeks ago, with many of you, I was tuned to the Weather Channel’s coverage of then-Tropical Storm Isaac. Initially, meteorologists projected Southwest Florida to be directly in Isaac’s path. By Sunday evening, the forecasts were adjusted to target the Gulf Coast, toward Louisiana.
My wife began to pray soon after TV weather projections started talking of Isaac becoming a hurricane. Her zeal in those times for intercession led me to draft a fitting slogan for such prayer: “When forecasters begin to say ‘a hurricane is on the way,’ the best thing we can do is to start to pray.”
