Editor’s note: Charlotte County’s Teresa Jenkins and Robert J. Taylor, together with the eight other delegates, attended the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, N.C., representing Florida’s 16th Congressional District, which encompasses parts of Charlotte, Glades, Hendry, Highlands, Okeechobee, St. Lucie, Martin and Palm Beach counties. This is their final journal entry from the event, which ended Thursday night.

Th ursday was the last day of the convention. The morning’s Florida delegate breakfast speakers included Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley, from Teresa’s home state. He reminded us that Florida will determine (whether) we move forward or back.
