Donating food to the Charlotte County Homeless Coalition is a community-service project for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1303 Forrest Nelson Blvd., Port Charlotte. The young women of the church, ranging in age from 12 to 18, recently helped serve an evening meal to residents living in the coalition's shelter. Lee Biava of Punta Gorda recently was recognized by Life Care Centers of America with its Carl W. Campbell Wind Beneath My Wings Award.
Congratulations to Lee Biava. The Punta Gorda woman recently was recognized by Life Care Centers of America with its Carl W. Campbell Wind Beneath My Wings Award for her tireless volunteer work, according to a release from the company.
According to the release, Biava has been a volunteer at the nursing home in Punta Gorda for the past three years.
