The Ocala City Council, this past week, debated using the mating habits of the North American Common Side-Blotched Lizard to settle future elections that end in a tie vote. Meanwhile, in other news ...

Wait a second. They did what? The traditional Florida method of declaring a winner in a close election, of course, is to get your brother to do it. But this only works if your brother is also the governor. And we all know this is never going to happen. As a result, Ocala reckoned it needed to find something else. Enter the North American Common Side-Blotched Lizard.
