Republican capture of numerous governorships and legislatures in 2009 and 2010 should be helping GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney in 2012. But it may not be.
Indeed, Romney seems to be suffering in several key states from a backlash against
conservative policies the Republicans brought to office along with their promises
of budgetary and economic reforms.
