Congratulations to Nancy Padgett. The former Sun employee recently joined Charlotte State Bank & Trust as business and community liaison, according to a release from the bank.

At the Sun, Padgett served as advertising director, advertising manager and community nonprofit coordinator. She represented the paper on community boards and committees, coordinated the cooperative advertising program for all Sun newspaper offices, managed sales teams as well as local and national account representatives, wrote three weekly columns for the paper, and coordinated and supervised in-house, day-to-day operations. Before joining the Sun, Padgett spent 20 years in the title insurance industry.
