TEAM Punta Gorda elects new board members

David Rowe has been chosen as Artist of the Month for October by the Arts & Humanities Council of Charlotte County. His work is on display at the Charlotte County Justice Center in Punta Gorda. The public is welcome to visit. Rowe is a retired layout design engineer in the petrochemical industry. He took up painting upon retirement two years ago. He is self- taught.

Team Punta Gorda recently elected six new members to its board of directors, according to a release from Bill Welsch, who is in charge of communication.

They are Chris Evans, managing partner of Laishley Crab House Center and the Marina Park Management Group; Jeffrey R. Kuhns, an associate attorney at the McCrory Law Firm, concentrating in the areas of tax law, business law and wills; Grace Nurse, executive director of Cooper Street Community Learning Center; Joyce Tilden, a community volunteer involved in the Charlotte County master gardener program and many other activities; Nancy Padgett, community and business liaison for Charlotte State Bank & Trust; and Melissa Sanders, director of marketing and public relations for Charlotte Regional Medical Center.
