In an article by Waterline editor Josh Olive, Joe Mercurio is was quoted
saying that the PTTS’s “events have always been based on conservation.”
He must have changed
his mind since the overwhelming email he sent to PTTS supporters earlier this year. This email states, “Even if 82 tarpon are killed every year during our tournament, it would have no significant effect on the population.”
