On the banks of the Peace River there stands a beautiful, out of character, monument to capitalism gone awry: Punta Gorda’s own Taj Mahal, known as “IMPAC University.” India turned its monument into one its most successful tourist attractions. We are stuck with a white elephant, costing us lost taxes, lost jobs and lost self respect.
