Age doesn’t necessarily bring wisdom, but it does bring perspective. Graced by God in growing up in Englewood, it seems to me that the Pioneer Days activities have gotten bigger, but not better. We’ve gained a wonderfully wacky cardboard boat race, but the excitement of roaring raceboats throwing plumes of spray is a distant thundering memory.
