Inspiration is what I felt as I had the opportunity to walk through the FDR Memorial in Washington on a beautiful September afternoon. I could hear the words of FDR calling out as I entered. The memorial is made up of walls, inscribed with quotes, statues and water, reminding one of the years between the Great Depression and the beginning of World War II. The engravings describe both personal struggles and triumphs and have great meaning as we reflect on life in America.
