Many people know that disposals are very bad for septic tank systems. It was very surprising to see on the Internet that one company has a unit that injects a small amount of a microorganism that breaks down food waste as well as the human waste that the septic system normally digest. Thus it reduces the accumulation of solids and the pump-out normally required every three to five or so years.
