One constant complaint over the years has been the dismal condition of roads in North Port.

The city has a lot of public roads — some 813 miles altogether. North Port can’t keep up with maintenance needs; it barely makes any headway right now. The lousy state of the roads hurts residential and business development. It beats the heck out of vehicles. And it creates a bad overall impression.
