Dale John Martens, 90, of Punta Gorda, Fla., passed away Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012, at Charlotte Harbor Healthcare in Charlotte Harbor, Fla.

He was born Feb. 12, 1921, in Cleveland, Ohio, to John B. and Esther (nee Gross) Martens, and moved to this area in 1958 from Miami, Fla., and prior to that from Aurora, Ohio.
