Lynette Emily Carthy

Lynette Emily Carthy, 62, of Punta Gorda, Fla., passed away Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012, at her residence.

She was born Jan. 6, 1950, in Trinidad, West Indies.

Lynette moved to Charlotte County, Fla., 25 years ago from Boston, Mass. She worked for many years and retired from the Charlotte County government, where she worked the Zoning Department. Lynette was a member of San Antonio Catholic Church in Port Charlotte, Fla. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. Lynette will be missed but not forgotten.

She is survived by her loving husband, Clyde N. Carthy of Punta Gorda; daughters, Stacey N. Carthy and Kimberly (William) Carthy-Pierre, both of Punta Gorda; sisters, Rubena and Luscha St. Louis of Trinidad; brothers, Leslie St. Louis of Trinidad, and Anthony Llewellyn of Fort Myers, Fla.; grandchildren, Kay-on, Dan’Asia, Dyanni, Gabrielle, Amiya, Anyla, Anairus and Jazmyne; aunts, Sr. Mirena, and Ovieta; uncles, Reynold, Ephrem, Clement, Owen and Kahlid; best friend, Diane Salandy; many cousins; and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, at Roberson Funeral Home, Port Charlotte Chapel. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012, at San Antonio Catholic Church in Port Charlotte. Entombment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Port Charlotte. Friends may visit online at www.robersonfh.com to sign the memory book.
