Rosemae Brown , 94, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012, at Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte.

She was born July 26, 1918, in Pittsburgh, Pa., to Walter B. and Sarah Louise Imhoff.

Rosemae moved to Port Charlotte in 1995 from Pittsburgh. She was a member of Port Charlotte United Methodist Church, where she was active in the United Methodist Women. Rosemae was also a member of the Port Charlotte Women’s Club, and a Past Worthy Matron of Mount Lebanon Chapter 420, Order of the Eastern Star of Pittsburgh.

She is survived by friends at church and South Port Square. There is no immediate surviving family. Rosemae was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin B. Brown, who passed away in 1996.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, at Port Charlotte United Methodist Church, 21075 Quesada Ave., Port Charlotte. The Rev. Brian James will officiate.
