Daisy B. Cazee, 96, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Monday, Sept. 3, 2012.

She was born Feb. 20, 1916, in Indianapolis, Ind., and moved to Florida in 1986.

Daisy and her husband Clyde Cazee opened up K-Z’s Bait & Tackle in Port Charlotte, and later opened K-Z’s Flower Shop in Punta Gorda, Fla. She loved reading and dancing. Daisy would read at least two books a week, and danced at the Cultural Center of Charlotte County in Port Charlotte well into her 90s.

She is survived by her daughter, Helen L. Halsworth of Key Largo, Fla.; grandson, Robert M. (Mila) Halsworth of Port Charlotte; great-grandchildren, Heidi D. Halsworth of Tampa, Fla., Vavao J. Burge of Altamonte Springs, Fla., and Melissa S. Burge of Union, N.J.; and great-great-grandchildren, Valentina M. Burge of Altamonte Springs, and Anthony Magliozzi and Olivia R. Magliozzi, both of Union.

Arrangements are by National Cremation Society of Port Charlotte.
