William Carey Reuling

William Carey “Bill” Reuling, 74, of Salt Lake City, Utah, and of Punta Gorda, Fla., passed away Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, in his Salt Lake City home, after an extended chronic illness.

He was born June 25, 1938, in Peoria, Ill., to Katharine Eisner Reuling and Clarence W. Reuling.

Bill attended Depaw and Bradley Universities. He served in the Utah National Guard, and worked in the Salt Lake City branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, Calif., and also for Walker Bank of Salt Lake City. He was employed as a bank examiner for the state of Utah for many years, and also an examiner for the Savings and Loan Association of Illinois. After retiring, William resided in Punta Gorda and Salt Lake City. He was a member of the Loyalty Circle of the University of Illinois Athletic Department for the last 12 years, and was also a supporter of the University of Illinois Men’s Golfing program.

William is survived by his brothers, Peter B. Reuling of Sanibel Island, Fla., and Richard K. Reuling of Green Valley, Ariz.; and seven nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project would be welcome.

Arrangements are by Premier Mortuary Services of Salt Lake City.
