Douglas Paul Hurst
Douglas Paul Hurst, 62, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012.
He was born Oct. 27, 1949, in Portland, Maine, to Paul and Therese Hurst.
Douglas moved to Port Charlotte 14 years ago from Portland, Ore. He was a longtime retail manager. Douglas had a passion for motorcycles and automobiles. He was very much admired by his friends and loved ones, and will be forever loved and missed by all who knew him and “Will be riding with us always.”
Douglas is survived by his wife, Judy DeWeese-Hurst of Port Charlotte; parents, Paul and Therese Hurst of Port Charlotte; son, Paul Thomas Hurst of Henderson, Nev.; brother, Thomas (Carol) Hurst of Central America; stepchildren, Allison Quasnick of Gulf Breeze, Fla., and Todd Quasnick of Jacksonville, Fla.; and many loving cousins, aunts and uncles.
“You brought so much joy to my life, with your positive outlook and enthusiasm for life. I am blessed with wonderful memories that comfort me now. We will be together eternally. You won’t be hard to spot with your beautiful blue eyes. This is not goodbye, but Until We Meet Again.” I love you, your wife Judy will be riding with you always.
