Elizabeth Gail Morrisette, 50, of Punta Gorda, Fla., formerly of Norfolk, Va., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012.

She was born Sept. 9, 1962, in Jacksonville, Fla., to Gregory and Barbara Morrisette.

Elizabeth spent all of her school years in Norfolk after her family returned there after their stay in Jacksonville. She loved dancing and graduated from Preston School of Dancing, where she excelled in ballet and tap. Elizabeth became a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in 1975. Around 1992, she returned to Florida from Norfolk and settled in Port Charlotte, Fla., and Punta Gorda and considered these places home. Elizabeth will be missed by all who knew her generous and loving spirit, including her feline companion, “MooMoo.”

She will be greatly missed by her son, Geoffrey Peiscop-Grau of North Port, Fla., New York, and Norfolk; mother, Barbara Morrisette of Norfolk; father, Gregory Morrisette; step-mother, Marie of Punta Gorda; brother, Greg Jr., his wife, Kathy; sister, Carolyn (Ray) Kubik; niece, Kristen; and nephew, Chase (Olga) Kubik; and their children, Alina and Emily; aunt, Penny Pond; and close friend, Hank Herrin. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her brother, Bobby.
