Mary P. Curtis, 92, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012, in Port Charlotte.

She was born in York, S.C., and came to Port Charlotte from Dearborn, Mich., 20 years ago.

Mary worked for General Motors Corporation for 30 years before her retirement.

She is survived by her son, John (Sharon) Curtis of Brighton, Mich.; daughter, Mary Curtis Edwards of Port Charlotte; grandchildren, Denise Edwards, Daniel Edwards, Kenneth Edwards, John Curtis and Jennifer Damavoletes; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m., with service time at 11 a.m. at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home, 2405 Harbor Blvd., Port Charlotte, FL. Entombment will follow at Royal Palm Cemetery in St. Petersburg, Fla. Donations in her memory may be made to, Christ The King Lutheran Church, 23456 Olean Blvd., Port Charlotte, FL 33983.
