Richard “Dick” Anderson, 96, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Friday, Sept. 21, 2012.

The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, at the Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home, 635 E. Marion Ave., Punta Gorda, FL. The Rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Punta Gorda, Fla., with a graveside service with military honors to follow at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Tidewell Hospice at tidewell.org or to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Building Fund, 211 W. Charlotte Ave., Punta Gorda, FL 33950.
