Nancy Jo Shelander, 56, of Oak Ridge, Tenn., devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother, went to her heavenly home Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, with her loving family by her side when she left this Earth.

She was born in Peoria, Ill.

Nancy spent most of her life in Florida, where she married the love of her life and raised her two children. “Princess” was loved by everyone she ever touched, especially by her loving and devoted husband, George; and son, Christopher.

She is survived by her devoted husband, George Shelander; loving son, Christopher (Terri) Shelander; four grandchildren, Mattie and Mary Shelander, Kaylee Gunderson and Connor Shelander; several sisters and brothers; and many nieces and nephews. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Virginia Archdale, and Bill and Mary Shelander; loving daughter, Jennifer; and numerous other family members.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, at Weatherford Mortuary in Oak Ridge, with Dr. Rami Cassis officiating. The family asks that any memorials be made to the American Cancer Society. An online guestbook can be signed at www.weatherfordmortuary.com.
