Barbara Ann Eason, 68, of Punta Gorda, Fla., passed away Monday, Oct. 1, 2012.

She was born Nov. 29, 1943, in St. Louis, Mo., the daughter of Edward and Verlena (nee Richardson) Vitt.

Barbara was a member of First United Methodist Church, Celebrate Life Society, St. Vincent de Paul Society, Seafarers Boat Club, FUMC Small Group, Punta Gorda and Manchester United Methodist in St. Louis. She was a loving, full-time homemaker, mother, wife and First Mate.

Barbara will be greatly missed by her husband of 40 years, Scott; sons, Tom, Tim, Scott and Ryan; brother, Tom; cousin, Charlotte; five grandchildren; and all who knew her.

The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m., with a service to celebrate Barbara’s life at 4 p.m., Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services.
