Lionel A. Lynch, 82, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte.

He was born June 25, 1930, in Barbados, and moved to Port Charlotte in 1990 from Boston, Mass.

Lionel was a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Port Charlotte for many years. He was a great man who cared about everyone. Lionel had a colossal heart and will forever be missed by all who loved and knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Daisy Lynch; daughter, Angela Grantley of Boston; stepdaughter, Angela Burnett of Punta Gorda, Fla.; son, James Lynch of Boston; sister, Vera Greenidge of New York, N.Y.; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews, including Frank, Nigel and Victor Lynch. Lionel was preceded in death by his loving daughter, Beverly Perry; and brother, Aubrey Lynch.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until Funeral Services at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at St. James Episcopal Church, 1365 Viscaya Drive, Port Charlotte, FL 33952.
