Arthur G. Petucci

Arthur G. Petucci, 97, of Port Charlotte, Fla., joined the love of his life, Margaret, in heaven, Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, at his residence in Port Charlotte.

He was born Jan. 31, 1915, in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Arthur worked as a security officer in a hospital for many years before retiring and moving to Florida. He was a member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church. Arthur was a veteran of the U.S. Army and National Guard, and served in the World War II Pacific Theater. “Old Soldiers never die, they just fade away.”

He is survived by his daughters, Andrea Rich and Faye (John) Mills, both of Port Charlotte; sister, Dorothy Klaus of Wallkill, N.Y.; was the grandfather of John (Rhiannon) Mills, Joseph (Amy) Mills, Joshua Rich, James Mills and Tina Raimer; and was the great-grandfather of Teagan, Quinnlyn, Liam and Savannah Mills.

A visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, at Roberson Funeral Home, Port Charlotte Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial with Military Honors by the U.S. Army will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church.
