Nancy Cekuta

Nancy “Nana” Cekuta, 73, of Port Charlotte, Fla., was taken to God’s Garden Tuesday, Oct., 23,2012.

She was born Jan. 27, 1939, in Youngstown, Ohio, to Myron F. and Goldie E. Berlin.

Nancy was of the Methodist faith. She was a medical transcriptionist for more than 40 years, in the Charlotte Co. area. Nancy was a member of the American Legion and the Eagles.

She is survived by her children, William M. (Brenda) Cekuta, Cheryl A. Marx, and Susie L. (Leonard Bolyard) Cekuta; grandchildren, Terra, Justin, Melanie, and Brandon; great-grandchildren, Kelsea, Skyla, Brevin, Johanna, Baeleigh, Bristol, and Olivia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Myron F. and Goldie E. Berlin; and her youngest child, Dale James Cekuta.

Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home and Cemetery in Punta Gorda, Fla., with services following at 11 a.m. and entombment immediately after in Charlotte Memorial’s Tranquility Hall Mausoleum.

Arrangements are by Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home and Cemetery.
