Rose M. Thrasher, 98, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away peacefully, Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, at Tidewell Hospice in Port Charlotte.

She was born May 31, 1914, in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to Florida in 1985, from San Mateo, Calif.

Rose was a retired executive secretary. She was a volunteer at the Cultural Center of Charlotte County for many years and enjoyed participating in the many activities there. Rose was a wonderful person who will be missed by all who loved and knew her.

She is survived by her loving family including a sister, Irene Baxendale of Port Charlotte; and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Memorial services and interment will be held at a later date at Skylawn Memorial Park in San Mateo. Friends may visit online at www.robersonfh.com to sign the memory book and extend condolences to the family.
